See the Spectacular Falls

With freezing temperatures as winter advances, the waterfalls may look frozen as it is surrounded by layers of snow, ice and icicles. The water, however, actually keeps flowing and looks even more gorgeous surrounded by white sheets of snow and ice with interesting formations of icicles. You can see this beautiful sight up close at the Journey Behind the Falls attraction at the Table Rock Welcome Centre from the upper deck and lower deck.
 
You can also check other views of the falls from the Queen Victoria Park and Skylon Tower. A fun way to see the winter beauty of Niagara Falls is by going on a ride on the Niagara SkyWheel. It takes you 175 feet above the ground in climate-controlled gondolas. You can enjoy the views from the warmth of the passenger cars!
Another thrilling way to see the snowy landscape is a helicopter ride aboard Niagara Helicopters. It gives you an incredible aerial view of Niagara Falls.
 

Winter Festival of Lights

Celebrate winter, and the holiday season with the Winter Festival of Lights. One of the largest illumination festivals in Canada, there is so much to see and experience. Held from November 18 to January 31, the dazzling lights and displays turn the Niagara Parkway route, the Fallsview tourist district and Dufferin Islands into a winter wonderland.

The illuminated waterfalls and the fireworks display above the falls are the icing on the cake.
 
There are interactive laser shows on Clifton Hill. Starting 5.30 p.m. there are four shows after every hour for a duration of 15 minutes. You can also have fun by etching a picture or writing a message at the interactive laser booth. Another wonderful programme is the Fallsview Sound and Light show which showcases 3D projection mapping on the façade of the Oakes Hotel. Watch in wonder as a spectrum of colours and visuals come alive accompanied by music. It’s all sparkle, shimmer, and shine during this fest!
 

Deck the Falls

December is a great month to be in Niagara Falls as the festive cheer is infectious and it is a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by dazzling illuminations.
