This winter the Festival will be celebrating its 35th season! The festivities will kick-off with Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, November 3rd in Queen Victoria Park, and extends through January 31st, 2019.
Special events are planned throughout the season including weekly fireworks, illumination displays, Cascades of Fire, and the Deck the Falls Walking Tour!
The Winter Festival of Lights turns Niagara Falls into a winter wonderland, capturing the magic of the holiday season with beautiful illuminated displays that travels through Niagara Parkway, Dufferin Islands and surrounding areas in Niagara Falls.
Every Friday night, watch the skies come alive with fireworks displays at 9pm.
Canada’s largest illumination festival is held in Niagara Falls. With over 2 million lights displayed around the City including the Fallsview District, Niagara Parkway, Clifton Hill, Lundy’s Lane, Dufferin Islands and Victoria Centre. Walk or take a drive through these areas at night to feel the magic in the air this holiday season!
Fallsview Light & Sound
The Fallsview Sound & Light Show will mesmerize spectators, the show uses visual effects with a kaleidoscope of colour and texture treatments, visual transitions, with the addition of dynamic music and sound. The city-facing side of the Oakes Hotel will serve as the canvas for the Festival’s innovative projection lighting technology!
Cascades of Fire – Concluded
Join us November 9th, 16th & 17th for the Cascades of Fire International Fireworks Competition. Countries from around the world will showcase their firework displays. Beginning at 9pm, each display will last for 18 minutes!
Deck the Falls – Concluded
One of the best ways to enjoy the festivities is with our holiday walking tour of the tourist district in Niagara Falls. This tour is available to book online on the following dates: November 30, December 1, 7, 8, 14 & 15. Tours run from 5pm-10pm.
At the Crowne Plaza Hotel, enjoy joyful singing and a tasty Hershey’s sample, and relish a sample of Morton’s Grille AAA reserve filet with sauce, accompanied by Niagara red or white wine at Marriott Fallsview. Fricassee of foraged mushrooms with truffle essence paired with spiced mulled apple cider is offered at Marriott on the Falls. Some of the fun activities include a delightful ride from the Table Rock Welcome Centre to the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse in a horse-drawn carriage, exploring the Floral Showhouse, and taking a souvenir from the fun photo booth at Embassy Suites.
