A visit to Strewn Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake presents an opportunity to have many experiences under one roof.
The 10 acre property is home to the winery and vineyard as well as the OLiV Tasting Room and Restaurant. You can also learn a thing or two about cooking through classes at the Wine Country Cooking School.
Several decades ago, the property was the former location of the Niagara Canning Company. It processed fruits & vegetables. The canning company shut down in the 1960s and was used as a warehouse. The site was redeveloped in 1997, to make way for a vineyard. The facilities of the Strewn Winery were established by Joe Will, founder and winemaker. In fact, the winery has completed 20 years of existence in 2017 and is a well-known name today in the wine and food industry in Niagara.
Strewn Winery produces wines from grapes grown on its vineyards and from local producers within the Niagara-on-the-Lake community. Flavours of the white & red wines produced at the winery reflect the terroir and the vintage variations.
Available at the Winery & several of Ontario’s LCBO stores are:
- Cabernet Sauvignon Clay Block
- Terroir Merlot
- Terroir Pinot Blanc
- Riesling Winemaker’s Art
- Sauvignon Blanc Premium
- Terroir Viognier
If you wish to enjoy a delicious culinary experience while at Strewn, a visit to OLiV Tasting Room and Restaurant is a must. Enjoy the various tasty flavours of Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVO) and True Balsamic Vinegars at the Tasting Room.
Try the delectable tapas available in several variations.
Enjoy enticing lunch & dinner dishes, combined with the EVO and balsamics for a truly interesting taste.
You can also brush up your cooking skills by taking a class at the Wine Country Cooking School. It includes a 5 hour cooking class on Saturdays where you can learn to cook up a three course meal and eat it too! There are other cooking sessions as well where you can channel your inner chef.
