It’s not easy being green:

the “Canadian” regiments of the War of 1812

Peter Martin and Elizabeth LeBlanc have a combined experience of over 60 years working at National Historic Sites including four War of 1812 forts in Ontario. During last year’s speaker series, Peter talked about the misconception that all soldiers in the British army wore red and spoke about those who wore Blue. Keeping with that theme, this year Peter and Elizabeth will talk about those soldiers that wore green! They will discuss who these brave soldiers were and their role in the defence of Canada during the War of 1812. Their presentation will include uniforms along with original artefacts pertaining to these truly “Canadian” regiments.

Tickets can be purchased on the Friends of Fort George online store.
