The Niagara River Recreational Trail was created in 1986, and offers 56 km of cycling along the Niagara Parkway by historical sites, wineries, restaurants, shops, fruit stands and more.
Paralleling the Niagara River, the trail extends from historic Fort Erie past the majestic Horseshoe Falls, to Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
We just did the section from Niagara Falls to NOTL, about 70km's or so, but the trail is so awesome, beautiful scenery, the Niagara River beside you....lots of places to stop, park and have lunch...
Beautiful lake views. The recreational trail feels like being taken back in time with all the grand houses that flank the other side of the road. It's an easy enough trail, appropriate for all levels...
