A national holiday in celebration of the anniversary of Confederation in 1867, Canada Day presents a wonderful reason to visit any of the official festivities across the Niagara Region. The fireworks display were amazing, great show. Getting in and out of the venue were horrible. The police did not give any useful direction. Felt like I was sent in circles on a couple of occasions.
We were able to tie up the Boston Whaler to a long ago friend’s sailboat for drinks, then head out to watch the fireworks. Fortunately no fog!
Canada 150 was supposed to be a massive party but long lines and bad weather plagued the day from being truly great. Canada day in Ottawa is still well worth the visit and hopefully they have learned...
