Craft Breweries
& Beverages

With the abundance of boutique-like, local breweries and distilleries popping up all over, it’s apparent that the “micro movement” is alive and well in Niagara.  Many offer tasting tours of their small-batch beers, ciders, and spirits, which are often hand-crafted with locally-sourced ingredients. Our brewery guide will help you pick the perfect place to begin. Count on pairing your beverage with a delicious meal at many of the local brew pubs and restaurants, and keep space in your luggage to take home a sample or two.

Beer Festivals

Niagara Craft Beer Festival
Celebrate our brewing culture during the 3rd Annual Niagara Craft Beer Festival, August 6-7th, 2016 in Port Dalhousie (St. Catharines). This festival features over 100 of Ontario’s best small batch brews and culinary creations from some of Niagara’s top food trucks and restaurants. Enjoy some soothing vinyl and live music, or, participate in the always-honourable Beer Olympics…if you’re willing to put your glass down.

Niagara Falls Beer Festival
Head to the Niagara Falls Beer Festival the weekend of August 13-14th, 2016 for delicious food, spirited entertainment, and of course, a celebration of all things suds. The 2-day event will feature more than 40 microbreweries, food trucks from across Ontario, and live music (including Boston’s Big Wreck and Wave). Kevin Brauch will be there, we hope you will too.

Ontario Craft Beer Movement

With a long and rich history of making quality beer (223 years to be precise) Niagara sure knows its hops, barley, and wheat. But don’t just take our word for it, come for a visit and find out why our local craft brewers are some of the hottest around (well, coldest, to be honest). With “kegs” worth of tours, tastings, and festivals, it’s easy to plan your ultimate craft beer tasting experience. Check out the tiles below to get started.
