Bordered by the bank of Four Mile Creek, Strewn Winery is a destination where wine, cuisine, and hands-on culinary experiences come together in a uniquely Niagara setting. Strewn has been producing premium VQA wines on a historic 10-acre property in Niagara-on-the-Lake since 1997.
As a Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario Certified winery, Strewn is committed to responsible environmental practices in both the vineyard and cellar. The winemaking philosophy is grounded in showcasing the character of Niagara’s terroir and vintage conditions.
Strewn specializes in small-lot, estate-driven wines, including structured Bordeaux-varietal reds—Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon—along with a range of Chardonnays, from unoaked to barrel-fermented. The portfolio also features fresh, aromatic whites such as Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, and Viognier and, of course, iconic Icewines.
Guests enjoy personalized, wine tastings with a sommelier or wine educator, in the tasting rooms, barrel cellar, or – in season – outdoors on the covered Pavilion close to the estate vineyard.
On-site, Terroir Restaurant & Wine Bar offers relaxed fine dining, for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Monday (reduced days in the winter). Chef William Brunyansky creates seasonal, modern classics that highlight Niagara’s bounty and pair seamlessly with Strewn Premium. Distinctive Small Lot, and Terroir wines. Seasonal outdoor dining is offered on a covered Terrace alongside Four Mile Creek.
For those eager to cook as well as sip, the Wine Country Cooking School offers 4-hour hands-on Saturday classes for recreational cooks, where participants prepare a seasonal, three-course meal with wine pairings, eaten at the communal table. Classes are capped at 12-13 participants. Weekday private and corporate classes can also be arranged for groups of up to 18. Advance booking is required for all classes.
Whether you’re tasting wines, dining vineyard-side, or rolling up your sleeves in the kitchen, Strewn Winery offers an inspiring and delicious way to experience the best of Niagara.
