The Greater Niagara Circle Route is over 140 km of mostly off-road paved trails passing through urban centres, agricultural areas, and the Niagara Escarpment. The paved trail is mostly three metres wide and consists of the following trails: Welland Canal Parkway Trail, Fort Erie Friendship Trail, Niagara River Recreation Trail, Waterfront Trail, and Merritt Island Trail.
