History of Crystal Beach

Back in the day, it was a major tourist attraction due to the presence of the Crystal Beach Amusement Park. The amusement park was a place that tourists visited time and again for more than a 100 years–from 1888 to 1989. It had exciting roller coaster thrills and all kinds of other rides to many eager visitors.
Besides the beach & amusement park, the area was an entertainment hotspot with its
  • grand hotels
  • restaurants
  • concerts
  • dance halls
The Crystal Beach Tennis & Yacht Club now stands at the site of the amusement park.
