11 Niagara Region Wineries Open for Business and Serving Rosé

This year wine lovers everywhere celebrated the highly anticipated June 13th National Rosé Day from the comfort of home, as wineries and restaurants everywhere remained closed to promote social distancing and safety during the COVID-19 outbreak. Now it’s time to get back to sipping wine the right way, as Niagara Region’s long lists of wineries have begun to reopen, welcoming back vinoisseurs to tour, taste and learn about the bubbly pink stuff we love to love.

With the region committed to putting public safety first, and wineries continuing to operate under provincial standards, wine tours are a great way to enjoy the summer and sip rosé in a safe, social distancing friendly, outdoor environment. These wineries also offer curbside pick-up and online stores so you can stock up on your favourite bottles and enjoy rosé your own way.

Here are 11 wineries in order from east to west of the region, that are open for business and offering our favourite pink drink, rosé:

Rosewood Estates Winery, Beamsville

With tastings now being offered by appointment, at Rosewood Estates Winery the mission is simple, to offer guests honest, low-intervention wine, innovative mead, and local honey—yes, honey! Rosewood Estates also specializes in mead— the world’s oldest known form of alcohol, commonly known as “honeywine,” made using three raw ingredients; honey, water, and yeast. After experiencing Rosewood’s mead, you’ll need to get a taste of their 2019 Flora Rosé, an electric pink and ready to drink bone-dry vino fermented using non-selected wild yeast before being aged for 5 months. Check it out online at their bottle shop.
