Perhaps the most recognized and celebrated heroine of the war of 1812, Laura Secord left her homestead to walk over 30 kilometres to warn the British of an impending attack from the Americans. Today, Laura Secord’s residence, as it appeared from 1803 to 1835 provides visitors with a window in time back to the war of 1812.
The restored property and costumed tour guides allow you to immerse yourself into Laura Secord’s life and her historical journey.
Since the house was originally restored (and later gifted) by the Laura Secord Candy Company, you can look forward to satisfying your sweet tooth as well as your inner history buff.
