The Executive Director will build and sustain effective partnerships with sub-regions to deliver on the Tourism Partnership’s (TPN) mandate and strategy – provide leadership and coordination to attract more visitors, generate more economic activity and create more jobs across the Niagara region.
Sub-regional partners and Tourism Partnership of Niagara must rely on each other to maximize impact in the increasingly competitive global tourism industry. The Executive Director will lead synchronized efforts with sub-regional partners to make best use of the Region’s collective resources, acting as a liaison between partners and governments to avoid duplication or competition.
The Executive Director is a key business leader, promoter and visionary, and is the public face of The Tourism Partnership of Niagara – dedicated to the promotion and marketing of Niagara as a premier destination for business and leisure travel. A successful candidate will cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners and other collaborators that align with the TPN objectives.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you are an experienced, high-profile individual with senior management experience combined with a proven track record in tactical marketing with more specific experience in digital marketing and multimedia, acquired in tourism, tourism destination management or in a related field. You have worked in an intensely competitive global marketplace with knowledge of and experience in the tourism, convention, hospitality and/or hotel industry. You are also a proven leader in your industry where you have had to build strong relationships and foster a culture of trust and collaboration with both internal and external partners.
