Irish Mythen and Christine Fellows

Live at the PAC

Irish Mythen has gained international recognition around the globe with nominations and wins coming from Music PEI, East Coast Music Association, Folk Alliance International and SOCAN. She’s shared the stage with Rod Stewart, Gordon Lightfoot and Lucinda Williams. The Irish-born singer-songwriter resides in PEI and her folk style has been described as “rambunctious and thoughtful, tender and loud.”

Christine Fellows finds music in sounds we tend to take for granted: the voices of the people we love, the sounds of the spaces we move through as part of our daily lives. Alternately delicate and rousing, her songs shed light on characters that tend to be overlooked and isolated, those whose struggles and triumphs are difficult to quantify. Many of her characters are women, an intentional focus that Christine has continued through 7 solo albums that highlight the vivid interior lives of pigeon-fanciers, shut-ins, runaways, and solitary travellers in wintery northlands.
