Christine Fellows finds music in sounds we tend to take for granted: the voices of the people we love, the sounds of the spaces we move through as part of our daily lives. Alternately delicate and rousing, her songs shed light on characters that tend to be overlooked and isolated, those whose struggles and triumphs are difficult to quantify. Many of her characters are women, an intentional focus that Christine has continued through 7 solo albums that highlight the vivid interior lives of pigeon-fanciers, shut-ins, runaways, and solitary travellers in wintery northlands.
